AI 중심 기업 이익 급증 및 유가 하락이번 상승 랠리의 가장 큰 동력은 주요 기업들의 2분기 어닝 서프라이즈다. 팔란티어가 분기 매출 93% 급증에 힘입어 폭등세를 보였다.
카터필러(Caterpillar) 등 주요 산업재 기업 역시 AI 데이터센터 전력 수요 확대에 따른 수주 증가로 호실적을 발표하며 다우 지수 상승을 이끌었다. 또한 국제 유가(WTI)가 주간 단위로 하락세를 지속하면서 인플레이션 재발 우려를 완화한 점도 시장 전반에 호재로 작용했다.
전문가들은 이번 주 예정된 미국의 7월 소비자물가지수(CPI) 및 생산자물가지수(PPI) 발표가 뉴욕 증시의 연쇄 신고가 행진을 이어갈 핵심 변수가 될 것으로 전망한다.
에너지 가격 하락이 인플레이션 지표 완화로 이어질 경우, 미 연준(Fed)의 금리 인하 기대감이 한층 높아지며 글로벌 자산 시장 전반으로 온기가 확산될 수 있다는 기대가 커지고 있다.

Closing Status of the Three Major New York Stock Indices
As the New York stock market staged a rally driven by solid corporate earnings announcements and stable oil prices, the S&P 500 and Dow Jones indices closed the session having simultaneously hit all-time highs.
Surge in Earnings from AI-Focused Companies and Falling Oil Prices
The biggest driving force behind this rally was the second-quarter earnings surprises from major companies. Palantir surged, boosted by a 93% jump in quarterly revenue.
Major industrial goods companies such as Caterpillar also led the rise in the Dow Index by announcing strong earnings, driven by increased orders resulting from expanding power demand for AI data centers. In addition, the fact that international oil prices (WTI) continued their weekly downward trend, easing concerns about a resurgence of inflation, also acted as a positive factor for the overall market.
Experts predict that the release of the U.S. July Consumer Price Index (CPI) and Producer Price Index (PPI), scheduled for this week, will be a key variable in continuing the New York stock market's streak of record highs.
Expectations are growing that if falling energy prices lead to a relaxation of inflation indicators, expectations for a U.S. Federal Reserve (Fed) interest rate cut will rise further, potentially spreading warmth across global asset markets.
