'북부 메트로폴리스' 핵심 전시 센터 내년 개관 예정
쿠퉁(Kwu Tung) 지역 주택 1만 2천 호 완공 임박
베르나데트 린 개발국장은 입법회 대표단이 쿠퉁 북부(Kwu Tung North)의 주요 개발 및 보존 지역을 시찰한 후, '북부 메트로폴리스(Northern Metropolis)'의 마스터플랜을 소개하는 핵심 전시 센터가 내년 상반기에 완공될 것이라고 9월 10일 발표했다.
쿠퉁 북부 지역은 총 5만 호의 공공 및 민간 주택 공급을 목표로 하는 광범위한 북부 메트로폴리스 계획의 선도적인 개발 거점 역할을 한다. 린 국장은 공공 임대 주택 단지, 이주민 전용 주택 프로젝트, 민간 주거 단지를 포함해 약 1만 2천 호의 주택이 올해와 내년에 걸쳐 완공되어 입주민에게 인도될 것이라고 밝혔다.
초기 입주 시기에 맞춰 동철선(East Rail Line)의 새로운 쿠퉁역도 내년에 개통될 예정이다. 또한 입법회의 예산 승인에 따라 해당 지역 최초의 정부 복합 청사건설이 진행 중이며, 2029년 말부터 단계적으로 완공될 것으로 예상된다.
'Northern Metropolis' Key Exhibition Center Set to Open Next Year
Completion of 12,000 Homes in Kwu Tung Area Imminent
On September 10, Secretary for Development Bernadette Linn announced that a key exhibition center showcasing the master plan for the 'Northern Metropolis' is scheduled for completion in the first half of next year, following a site visit by a Legislative Council delegation to major development and conservation areas in Kwu Tung North.
The Kwu Tung North area serves as a leading development hub for the extensive Northern Metropolis initiative, which aims to supply a total of 50,000 public and private housing units. Secretary Linn stated that approximately 12,000 housing units—comprising public rental housing estates, dedicated rehousing projects, and private residential complexes—are set to be completed and handed over to residents between this year and next.
The new Kwu Tung Station on the East Rail Line is also scheduled to open next year to coincide with the initial move-in period. Additionally, following the Legislative Council's approval of the budget, construction of the area's first government complex is underway, with phased completion expected starting in late 2029.
