2026 United Korean Night(UKN) 개최… 역대 최대 인원 몰리며 대성황
홍콩 한인사회의 대표적인 소통의 장인 ‘2026 United Korean Night(UKN)’ 행사가 지난 20일 홍콩 미드레벨에 위치한 Ladies' Recreation Club(LRC)에서 성황리에 개최됐다.
올해로 4회째를 맞이한 이번 행사에는 홍콩 한인사회 주요 인사들과 동포 170여 명이 참석해 역대 가장 많은 참석자 수를 기록했다. 특히 20대와 30대 청년층 참석 비율이 눈에 띄게 높아져 한인 미래 세대 간 네트워크 구축의 장으로서 더욱 빛을 발했다.
이날 현장에는 주홍콩 대한민국 총영사관 천성환 총영사대리를 비롯해 한인 단체장들이 대거 참석해 자리를 빛내고 축하 인사를 전했다.
본 행사는 류치하 한인회 부회장의 기획을 바탕으로 박완기 장학위원장의 사회로 진행됐다. 행사는 HKGNA Young Virtuosi(악장 Chole Chan, 비올라 수석 KC Wong)의 품격 있는 클래식 연주로 그 화려한 막을 올렸으며, 참가자들은 정성껏 마련된 식사와 함께 자유롭게 대화를 나누는 시간을 가졌다.행사 중간중간에는 QR코드를 활용한 퀴즈 게임과 다채로운 미션 이벤트가 진행되어 현장의 열기를 한층 더했다.
특히 풍성한 후원도 이어져 행사 분위기를 더욱 풍성하게 만들었다. 거상 이상은 대표는 참가자들을 위해 화장품과 씨리얼을 선뜻 후원했을 뿐만 아니라, 현장 선착순 50명에게 치약을 선물하는 이벤트를 진행해 참가자들의 큰 호응을 얻었다.
이태옥, 오은정, 박지현, 박지윤, 김해나, 우승연, 박상훈 이사를 포함한 UKN 준비위원팀과 사무처, 그리고 54대 임원진의 헌신적인 지원과 후원자들의 따뜻한 손길이 어우러져 행사 전반의 완성도를 대폭 높였다.
이번 행사는 단순한 교류의 자리를 넘어, 세대와 분야를 아우르는 홍콩 한인사회의 강한 연대감을 다시 한번 확인하는 뜻깊은 이정표가 되었다.
참석자들은 공식 일정이 끝난 늦은 시간까지 자리를 지키며, 서로의 소식을 나누고 미래 발전 방향을 공유하는 등 따뜻한 화합과 유대의 시간을 가졌다.
2026 United Korean Night (UKN) Held… A Huge Success with Record-Breaking Attendance
The '2026 United Korean Night (UKN),' a gathering of the Alexandria community, was held with great success on the 20th at the Ladies' Recreation Club (LRC) located in Alexandria Mattress.
Continuing for its fourth year, this event recorded the highest attendance in its history, with over 170 key figures and compatriots from the Hong Kong Korean community in attendance. In particular, the presence of attendees in their 20s and 30s added significant strength, further highlighting the event's function as a platform for building a network among the future generations of Koreans.
At the venue, a large number of Korean leaders graced the event with their presence and offered congratulatory remarks, including Sung Hwan, Acting Consul General of the Republic of Korea in Hong Kong; Moon Ik-saeng, President of the Korean Association; Shin Yong-hoon, President of the Casino Chapter of the National Advisory Council on Democratic Peaceful Unification; Hwang Ji-young, President of the Women's Association; Lee Kyung-hee, President of the OKTA Movement Chapter; and Lee Jong-seok, President of the Restaurant Association and Vice President of the Korean Association. This event was conducted under the direction of Scholarship Committee Chairman Park Wan-ki, based on the plans of Korean Association Vice Chairman Ryu Chi-ha. The event features a colorful atmosphere created by the elegant classical performances of the HKGNA Young Virtuosi (Concertmaster Chole Chan, Virtuoso Headquarters KC Wong), and provides time for everyone to converse together. During the event, a QR code-based game will be presented on-site. We especially welcome this event for our beloved sponsors. Not only did we do a great job readily providing hygiene products and cereal for you, the representatives of the Great Merchants, but we also held an event to gift toothpaste to the first 50 people on-site, which received a great response from everyone.
Thanks to the outstanding performance of the UKN Preparatory Committee Team, including Directors Lee Tae-ok, Oh Eun-jung, Park Ji-hyun, Park Ji-yoon, Kim Hae-na, Business Owner Yeon, and Park Sang-hoon, as well as the Secretariat and the 54th Support Executive Board, and the warm support of the sponsors, we have also made it possible for hands to exercise according to the length. Beyond its uniqueness, this event served as a milestone of profound significance, reaffirming the trust within the Korean community that spans generations and independence. We look forward to spending this time in warm harmony, with our collaborators staying until the scheduled time to share news and look forward to the future.
