1. 몽콕 시계점, 붉은 페인트 범벅
오늘 24일 월요일 새벽, 몽콕 사이영초이 스트리트 사우스 인근 아가일 센터 1단계에 위치한 한 시계점이 붉은 페인트 공격을 받아 인근 스낵 가게까지 피해를 입었다.
사건은 새벽 2시경 발생했으며, 시계점 간판과 앞 인도에 붉은 페인트가 묻었다. 옆 가게의 간판과 비품에도 페인트 자국이 남아 있었다. 경찰은 현장을 통제하고 재물손괴로 수사 중이다.
2. 샤틴 아파트에서 강도
현금과 보석류 20만 홍콩달러 이상 훔쳐가
47세 여성이 8월 24일 일요일 밤 샤틴 수이추엔오 단지에 있는 자신의 아파트로 돌아왔다가 집안이 난장판이 되어 있고 창문이 강제로 열려 있는 것을 발견했다.
이 사건은 오후 10시경 잉추엔 하우스에서 신고되었다. 초기 조사 결과 현금 약 12만 8천 홍콩달러와 보석류 및 금 제품 약 8만 홍콩달러가 사라진 것으로 확인되었다.
경찰은 이 사건을 강도 사건으로 분류하고 수사 중이다.
3. 광화병원 방화 사건:
야우마테이 광화병원 관찰실에서 25세 환자 웡 씨가 매트리스와 구속 벨트에 불을 지른 혐의로 체포되었다. 웡 씨는 만취 상태로 입원하여 의료진의 통제를 받고 있었다. 새벽 12시 30분경, 간호사가 연기 감지기 경보를 듣고 즉시 그를 안전한 곳으로 대피시킨 후 물을 뿌려 불을 껐습니다. 다친 사람은 없었으며, 현장에서 라이터가 발견되었다.
4. 강압적인 미용 제품 판매 수사:
홍콩 세관은 상완, 샤틴, 코즈웨이베이에서 영업하는 한 미용 제품 소매점 체인의 관리자 두 명(42세 재무 관리자와 25세 행정 관리자)을 상품 설명 조례 위반 혐의로 체포했다. 이번 수사는 공격적이고 강압적인 판매 방식을 사용했다는 소비자 불만 6건을 계기로 시작되었다. 판매원들이 88세 여성의 신용카드를 빼앗아 윙온 백화점에서 3시간 동안 강압적인 판매를 시도하며 10만 홍콩달러 상당의 스킨케어 제품과 시술 패키지를 구매하도록 강요했다.
5. 에스컬레이터에서 3명 추락 사고
콰이청 쇼핑센터
어제 일요일 8월 23일, 콰이청에 위치한 쉑레이 쇼핑센터 1단계에서 최소 3명이 에스컬레이터에서 추락하는 사고가 발생했다. 이 사고로 76세 남성 한 명이 에스컬레이터에 갇혀 팔다리에 찰과상을 입었다.
경찰은 오후 4시경 한 승객이 에스컬레이터를 타던 중 균형을 잃으면서 뒤에 있던 두 명이 함께 추락했다는 신고를 접수했다.
이번 사고는 이달 초 같은 쇼핑센터에서 발생한 유사한 에스컬레이터 사고 이후에 발생했다.
75세 여성이 1살배기 여자아이를 안고 에스컬레이터를 타다가 균형을 잃어 뒤에 있던 66세 여성과 72세 남성이 함께 넘어지는 사고가 발생했다. 최소 4명이 부상을 입었고, 그중 한 명은 머리 부상을 입어 병원 치료를 받았다.

1. Mong Kok Watch Shop Covered in Red Paint
Early in the morning of Monday, the 24th, a watch shop located at Level 1 of the Argyle Centre near Sai Yung Choi Street South in Mong Kok was attacked with red paint, causing damage to a nearby snack shop as well.
The incident occurred around 2 a.m., leaving red paint on the watch shop's sign and the sidewalk in front. Paint stains were also found on the sign and fixtures of the adjacent shop. Police have cordoned off the scene and are investigating the case as property damage.
2. Robbery at Sha Tin Apartment
Over HK$200,000 in Cash and Jewelry Stolen
A 47-year-old woman returned to her apartment in the Shui Tsuen O complex in Sha Tin on Sunday night, August 24, to find her home in a state of chaos and her windows forcibly opened.
The incident was reported by Ying Chuen House around 10 p.m. Initial investigations confirmed that approximately HK$128,000 in cash and HK$80,000 in jewelry and gold products were missing.
The police have classified this incident as a robbery and are currently investigating.
3. Kwang Wah Hospital Arson Incident:
A 25-year-old patient, Mr. Wong, was arrested on suspicion of setting fire to a mattress and restraint belt in the observation room of Kwang Wah Hospital in Yau Ma Tei. Mr. Wong was admitted while intoxicated and was under the control of medical staff. Around 12:30 AM, a nurse heard a smoke detector alarm, immediately evacuated him to a safe location, and extinguished the fire by spraying water. No one was injured, and a lighter was found at the scene.
4. Investigation into Coercive Sales of Beauty Products:
Hong Kong Customs arrested two managers (a 42-year-old financial manager and a 25-year-old administrative manager) of a beauty product retail chain operating in Shang Wan, Sha Tin, and Causeway Bay on charges of violating product description ordinances. This investigation was initiated following six consumer complaints regarding aggressive and coercive sales practices. Salespeople snatched an 88-year-old woman's credit card and attempted coercive sales tactics at Wing On Department Store for three hours, forcing her to purchase skincare products and treatment packages worth 100,000 Hong Kong dollars.
5. Three People Fall from Escalator
Kwai Chung Shopping Centre
Yesterday, Sunday, August 23, at least three people fell from an escalator on Level 1 of the Shackleley Shopping Centre in Kwai Chung. As a result of the accident, a 76-year-old man was trapped on the escalator and suffered abrasions to his limbs.
Police received a report around 4 p.m. that a passenger lost their balance while riding the escalator, causing two people behind them to fall as well.
This accident occurred following a similar escalator accident at the same shopping center earlier this month.
In the previous incident, a 75-year-old woman was riding an escalator while holding a one-year-old girl when she lost her balance, causing a 66-year-old woman and a 72-year-old man behind her to fall together. At least four people were injured, and one of them received hospital treatment for a head injury.
