홍콩 & 마카오 범죄 사건 3건
1. 중의사, 기부금 위조 혐의
홍콩 달러 2만 5천(HK$25,000) 상당의 자선 기부금을 세금 공제받기 위해 알리페이 거래 내역을 위조한 혐의로 기소된 39세 중의사가 위조 혐의로 추가 기소되었다.
검찰은 기존 위조 혐의에 위조 혐의를 추가해 기소 내용을 변경해 줄 것을 신청했다.
재판은 10월 12일로 연기되었다.
새로운 위조 혐의는 1월 5일경 알리페이 홍콩에서 발행한 것처럼 위조된 송금 내역서를 만들었다.
수정된 기소 내용에 따르면, 위조된 거래 기록을 고의로 사용하여 재무부 직원들이 이를 진짜로 받아들이도록 유도함으로써, 타이포에 있는 왕복법원 지원 기금에 2만 5천 홍콩달러를 기부한 것처럼 속여 세금 공제를 부정하게 받으려 했다는 혐의를 받고 있다.
2. 노트북 400대 절도 혐의
전 딜로이트 IT 관리자는 45만 홍콩달러 이상 상당의 노트북 절도 혐의로 유죄 판결을 받았다. 40세 남성이 수개월에 걸쳐 회사에서 지급한 노트북 400대 이상을 훔친 혐의로 유죄를 인정했다.
법원 기록에 따르면 피고는 심각한 재정적 손실을 입은 후 고위험 주식 옵션 거래 자금을 마련하기 위해 해당 기기들을 중고 전자제품 구매자에게 판매했다.
법원은 기업 자산 및 시스템 관리 권한과 관련된 신뢰 위반을 강조했다. 선고는 공식적인 신원 조사 보고서가 제출될 때까지 보류 중이다.
3. 여장한 필리핀 남성, 마카오에서 절도
마카오 로컬매체에 따르면 여장을 한 필리핀 남성 두 명이 관광객들 대상으로 마카오 거리에서 마사지 서비스를 한다고 호객 행위해 피해자를 호텔방으로 유인하고 약 4만 1천 홍콩달러 상당의 돈을 훔친 혐의로 마카오에서 체포됐다. 8월 10일, 중년 남성 피해자는 마사지를 받은 후 현금이 없어진 것을 발견하고 이들을 붙잡아 신고했다. 피해액은 약 4만 1천 홍콩달러였다.
용의자는 무직으로 둘 다 마카오에 관광객으로 체류 중이었다. 당국은 현재까지 성매매 또는 성매매 알선 혐의는 발견되지 않았으며, 이들이 다른 유사 사건과 연관이 있는지 조사 중이다. 두 사람은 가중 절도 혐의로 마카오 검찰청에 송치될 예정이다.
여장을 한 호객꾼들이 마사지를 미끼로 호텔 방에서 돈을 훔치는 수법은 카지노나 쇼핑 후 거액의 현금을 소지한 관광객들을 노리고 있다.
마카오 경찰은 추가 조사를 통해 더 많은 피해자가 있는지, 그리고 출입국 기록에 이들이 반복적으로 단기 체류한 기록이 있는지 확인하고 있다.
Three Criminal Cases in Hong Kong & Macau
1. Traditional Chinese Medicine Doctor Charged with Forgery of Donations
A 39-year-old traditional Chinese medicine doctor, who was previously charged with forging Alipay transaction records to claim tax deductions for charitable donations worth HK$25,000, has been additionally charged with forgery.
The prosecution requested a change to the indictment to add forgery charges to the existing charges.
The trial has been postponed to October 12.
The new forgery charge involves creating a forged remittance statement that appeared to have been issued by Alipay Hong Kong around January 5.
According to the amended indictment, the doctor is accused of attempting to fraudulently claim tax deductions by deceiving officials into believing he had donated HK$25,000 to the Tai Po Court Support Fund, by intentionally using the forged transaction records to induce them to accept them as genuine. 2. Charged with Stealing 400 Laptops
A former Deloitte IT manager has been found guilty of stealing laptops worth over HK$450,000. The 40-year-old man pleaded guilty to stealing more than 400 company-issued laptops over several months.
According to court records, the defendant sold the devices to buyers of used electronics to raise funds for high-risk stock options trading after suffering significant financial losses.
The court emphasized a breach of trust regarding corporate asset and system management authority. Sentencing is pending until the official background check report is submitted.
3. Cross-dressing Filipino Men Steal in Macau
According to local Macau media, two cross-dressing Filipino men were arrested in Macau on charges of soliciting tourists on the streets offering massage services, luring victims to hotel rooms, and stealing approximately HK$41,000. On August 10, a middle-aged male victim discovered his cash was missing after receiving a massage, caught the men, and reported them. The amount stolen was approximately 41,000 Hong Kong dollars.
The suspects were unemployed and both were staying in Macau as tourists. Authorities have not found any evidence of prostitution or pimping so far and are investigating whether they are connected to other similar cases. The two are scheduled to be referred to the Macau Public Prosecutor's Office on charges of aggravated theft.
The scheme, in which cross-dressing touts steal money from hotel rooms using massages as bait, targets tourists carrying large sums of cash after visiting casinos or shopping.
Macau police are conducting further investigations to determine if there are more victims and to check immigration records for any instances of repeated short-term stays.
