미국증시
미국 증시는 혼조세를 보였으며, 다우존스 산업평균지수는 장중 및 종가 모두 사상 최고치를 경신한 반면, S&P 500 지수는 이전 최고치를 경신한 후 하락했다. 시장의 관심은 여전히 기업 실적 발표와 중동 정세에 집중됐다.
다우존스 산업평균지수는 장중 660포인트 가까이 상승한 54,744를 기록한 후 54,349로 마감하며 263포인트(약 0.5%) 상승, 5거래일 연속 상승세를 이어갔다.
S&P 500과 나스닥 지수는 4일 연속 상승세를 마감했다. S&P 500은 장 초반 0.7% 이상 상승하며 장중 최고치인 7,793까지 올랐으나, 12포인트(약 0.2%) 하락한 7,723으로 마감했다.
나스닥은 221포인트(0.8%) 이상 하락한 26,363으로 마감했다.
스페이스X 주가는 실적 발표 후 거의 14% 급락하며 상장 이후 최저치를 기록했다. 투자자들은 자본 지출 증가와 대규모 주식 공개에 대한 우려를 나타냈다. 다른 기업들의 실적 발표 가운데 AMD는 7% 하락했고, 디즈니와 일라이 릴리는 각각 4%와 5% 가까이 상승했다.
메모리 칩 업계의 거물인 샌디스크와 웨스턴 디지털은 장 마감 후 예상보다 양호한 분기 실적을 발표했지만, 시간외 거래에서 각각 11% 이상, 7% 가까이 하락했다.
구글의 AI 사업부는 또 한 번의 인사 변동을 겪었고, 모회사인 알파벳의 주가는 장 마감에서 4% 하락했다. 이와 더불어 아마존과 테슬라는 2% 가까이 하락했고, 엔비디아는 3% 이상 상승했다.
U.S. Stock Market Summary
Index Performance: U.S. stocks presented a mixed performance. The Dow Jones Industrial Average hit new all-time highs both intra-day and at the close, advancing for a fifth consecutive session by 263 points (~0.5%) to close at 54,349 (after reaching an intra-day high near 54,744). Conversely, the S&P 500 and Nasdaq ended their four-day winning streaks. The S&P 500 rose over 0.7% early to reach an intra-day high of 7,793 before paring gains to close down 12 points (~0.2%) at 7,723. The Nasdaq dropped over 221 points (0.8%) to end at 26,363. Market focus remained centered on corporate earnings and Middle East developments.
Corporate Earnings & Movers: SpaceX shares plunged nearly 14% following its earnings report to hit a post-IPO low, driven by investor concerns over rising capital expenditures and large-scale share offerings. Among other earnings reports, AMD fell 7%, while Disney and Eli Lilly rose nearly 4% and 5%, respectively.
After-Hours Reaction: Memory chip giants SanDisk and Western Digital reported better-than-expected quarterly results after the bell, yet fell over 11% and nearly 7%, respectively, in extended trading.
Big Tech Moves: Google's AI unit experienced another reshuffle, with parent company Alphabet's stock falling 4% at the close. Additionally, Amazon and Tesla dropped nearly 2%, while Nvidia rose over 3%.
