택시 서비스, 승객 만족도 95% 이상 긍정적 평가
교통부는 7월 27일, 새로운 택시 서비스 도입이 성공적으로 운영되고 있으며, 승객의 95% 이상이 긍정적인 평가를 내렸다고 밝혔다.
현재 2,000대 이상의 택시와 약 2,400명의 택시 기사가 서비스를 제공하고 있으며, 5월 말 기준 약 420만 건의 운행을 기록했다. SynCab, Big Boss Taxi, Amigo, Big Bee Taxi, Joie 등 5개 택시 회사가 제공하는 택시 서비스는 지난해 단계적으로 도입되었다.
교통부는 택시 회사들이 다양한 차종, 최신 차량, 넓고 깔끔한 객실, 친절한 기사를 제공하여 지역 주민과 관광객 모두에게 수준 높은 이동 경험을 제공하고 있다고 밝혔다..
교통부는 은행과 협력하여 택시 소유주들이 "배터리 전기 택시 전용 100% 대출 보증 제도"에 신청할 수 있도록 지원했다. 200건 이상의 신청이 처리되어 전기차 도입이 증가했다.
택시 회사와 충전 시설 운영업체는 협력하여 홍콩 전역에 160개 이상의 충전소를 운영하며 택시 업계를 지원하고 있다.
한편, 공항, 일부 국경 검문소, 홍콩 웨스트 카우룬역, 일부 공항철도역, 카이탁 크루즈 터미널, 홍콩 컨벤션 센터 2단계, 전시센터역 환승센터, M+ 박물관, 그리고 신황강항 홍콩 항만 지역 등 16개 지역에 95개의 전용 택시 정류장을 설치했다.
다섯 개 택시 회사 운전자의 평균 연령은 47세로, 업계 평균인 60세보다 훨씬 낮다. 더욱이, 회사 운전자의 20%는 30~39세로, 업계에 신선한 활력을 불어넣고 있다.
또한, 다섯 개 택시 회사의 서비스를 통합한 플랫폼인 "이지라이드(Easy Ride)"는 40만 건 이상의 방문을 기록했으며, 1만 대 이상의 택시가 플랫폼에 등록되어 있다. 전체 주문의 약 40%가 택시 회사를 통해 처리되었는데, 이는 택시 회사들이 다양한 경로를 통해 승객을 유치하고 있음을 보여준다.
Hong Kong’s New Taxi Fleet Scheme Sees Over 95% Passenger Satisfaction
On July 27, 2026, the Transport Department announced that the newly introduced taxi fleet scheme is operating successfully, with over 95% of passengers expressing positive feedback.
Fleet Scale & Adoption: Over 2,000 fleet taxis and approximately 2,400 drivers are currently active. As of late May, the system had completed around 4.2 million trips.
Participating Fleets: Services are operated by five licensed fleets—SynCab, Big Boss Taxi, Amigo, Big Bee Taxi, and Joie—which launched in phases starting last year.
Enhanced Service Standard: Operators provide newer, spacious, and clean vehicles paired with professional drivers, offering a premium travel experience for both residents and tourists.
EV Financing Support: The government collaborated with banks to support taxi owners applying for the "Dedicated 100% Loan Guarantee Scheme for Battery Electric Taxis," facilitating over 200 applications to accelerate EV adoption.
Charging Network: Fleet operators and charging service providers offer over 160 charging points across Hong Kong.
Dedicated Stopping Points: 95 designated fleet taxi stopping places have been set up across 16 key strategic locations—including Hong Kong International Airport, boundary control points, West Kowloon Station, Airport Express stations, Kai Tak Cruise Terminal, HKCEC, M+ Museum, and the new Huanggang Port Hong Kong Port Area.
Younger Driver Workforce: The average age of fleet drivers is 47 years old, significantly younger than the traditional industry average of 60. Drivers aged 30–39 account for 20% of total fleet drivers, injecting new energy into the trade.
"Easy Ride" Aggregated Platform: The integrated platform combining all five fleets has logged over 400,000 visits, with more than 10,000 taxis registered. About 40% of all ride orders were processed directly through fleet operators, demonstrating diversified customer acquisition channels.
