■ 홍콩 이민국, 파키스탄 불법 이민자들 본국 호송

홍콩 이민국은 이전 송환 시도에서 폭력적으로 저항했던 고위험군 파키스탄 이민 신청자 6명을 광저우를 경유하는 특별 전세기를 이용해 성공적으로 본국으로 송환했다. 이들 중 일부는 전과 기록이 있다.

이민국(ImmD)은 강제 송환 거부 신청이 기각된 파키스탄 남성 불법 이민자 6명을 성공적으로 본국으로 송환했다.

송환된 사람들 중에는 홍콩에서 범죄로 복역 후 출소한 사람들도 포함되어 있다.이들은 이전 송환 시도에서 반복적으로 협조를 거부하고 물리적으로 저항했기 때문에, 이민국은 강제 송환이 안전하고 효율적으로 이루어지도록 특별 호송팀을 투입했다.

 홍콩 이민국 대변인은 홍콩과 파키스탄 간 직항 상업 항공편이 없어 추방 대상자들이 제3국 경유지를 거쳐야 하는 등 물류상 어려움이 크다고 설명했다.

이번 환승은 홍코 이민국이 2025년 11월과 2026년 3월에 이어 세 번째로 시행한 "추방(Expel)" 전략 노선이다.

당국은 광저우를 경유하는 노선이 고위험군 및 비협조적 인물 추방의 효율성, 보안성, 비용 효율성을 크게 향상시켰다고 밝혔다.

HK ImmD Repatriates High-Risk Pakistani Illegal Immigrants

• The Immigration Department (ImmD) successfully deported 6 Pakistani men whose non-refoulement claims were rejected, utilizing a special charter flight routing via Guangzhou.

• The group included individuals with criminal records who had served prison sentences in Hong Kong and had violently resisted previous repatriation attempts, prompting the deployment of a special escort team.

•  Due to the lack of direct commercial flights between Hong Kong and Pakistan, ImmD used its "Expel" strategic transit route via Guangzhou for the third time—following operations in November 2025 and March 2026—to maximize security and cost-efficiency.

■ 경찰, 불법 도박 자금 세탁 센터 적발, 12명 체포

경찰은 쿤통 지역에서 불법 도박 웹사이트와 연계된 자금 세탁 센터를 급습해 12명을 체포하고 70만 홍콩달러가 넘는 범죄 수익금을 압수했다고 밝혔다.

 구룡 서부 지역 범죄수사대는 도박 수익금을 처리하고 자금을 세탁하는 데 사용된 센터를 급습해 .

24세에서 58세 사이의 남성 10명과 여성 2명을 체포했다. 이들은 불법 도박, 불법 도박업자를 통한 도박, 자금 세탁 혐의를 받고 있다. 경찰은 현금 40만 홍콩달러 이상과 컴퓨터 7대를 압수했다. 

홍콩 도박 조례에 따르면, 불법 도박업자를 통한 도박은 초범 시 최대 1만 홍콩달러의 벌금과 3개월의 징역형에 처해질 수 있다. 불법 도박업은 최대 500만 홍콩달러의 벌금과 7년의 징역형에 처해질 수 있다.

Police Bust Illegal Gambling Money Laundering Hub, 12 Arrested

• The Raid: Kowloon West regional crime unit raided a money laundering center linked to illegal gambling websites in Kwun Tong, arresting 12 syndicates and seizing over HK$700,000 in crime proceeds.

• Arrests & Seizures: 10 men and 2 women, aged 24 to 58, were detained for illegal gambling, betting with a bookmaker, and money laundering. Officers confiscated over HK$400,000 in cash and 7 computers.

• Legal Penalties: Under the Gambling Ordinance, betting with a bookmaker carries a maximum penalty of a HK$10,000 fine and 3 months' imprisonment for first-time offenders, while bookmaking faces up to a HK$5 million fine and 7 years behind bars.
