34세 여성이 어제 화요일 밤 사이완에서 목줄을 맨 시바견과 산책하던 중 목줄이 풀린 잡종견에게 왼쪽 발을 물리는 사고가 발생했다. 이는 홍콩에서 최근 잇따라 발생하고 있는 개 관련 사고 중 하나이다.
사고는 밤 11시경 벨처스 스트리트 8번지, 더 벨처스(The Belcher's) 근처에서 발생했다.한 남성이 목줄 없이 잡종견을 산책시키던 중, 그 개가 여성의 시바견에게 다가가면서 싸움이 벌어졌습니다. 여성은 자신의 반려견을 보호하려다 발을 물렸다.
남성은 개를 데리고 현장을 떠나려 했지만, 여성의 남자친구가 이를 저지했고 경찰이 출동했다. 남성과 잡종견은 모두 경찰서로 연행되어 조사를 받았다.
2. 성매매 단속 중국 본토 여성 13명 체포
8월 25일 화요일, 원룽에서 "플린스톤" 작전으로 진행된 합동 성매매 단속 작전에서 21세에서 45세 사이의 중국 본토 여성 13명이 체포되었다.
이번 체포는 원룽 경찰서 특수전담팀과 기타 부서의 합동 작전으로 이루어졌다. 여성들은 체류 조건 위반 혐의로 체포되어 조사를 받고 있다.
경찰은 앞으로도 원룽 지역의 불법 활동에 대한 단속을 강화할 것이라고 경고했다.
3. 여행사 상품 판매점, 30일 영업 정지 처분
홍콩 여행산업청은 구룡만에 위치한 카이저 주얼리 인터내셔널 리미티드(Kaiser Jewellery International Limited)를 등록 상점 관리 규정에 따라 30일 영업 정지 처분했다.
지난 2월에 발생한 사건에 대한 조사 결과, 해당 상품 판매점은 여행 가이드가 중국 본토 관광객들에게 구매를 강요하는 것을 막지 못한 것으로 드러났다.
모든 점장, 관리자 및 현장 직원은 한 달 이내에 의무 교육을 이수해야 하며, 입법부는 30일 영업 정지가 일반적인 벌금보다 더 강력한 매출 억제 효과를 가져온다고 지적했다.

1. Another Dog Bite Incident
A 34-year-old woman was walking her leashed Shiba Inu in Sai Wan yesterday night when she was bitten on the left foot by an unleashed mixed-breed dog. This is one of several dog-related accidents that have recently been occurring in Hong Kong.
The incident took place around 11 p.m. near The Belcher's, 8 Belcher's Street. A man was walking his unleashed mixed-breed dog when it approached the woman's Shiba Inu, leading to a fight. The woman was bitten on the foot while trying to protect her pet.
The man attempted to leave the scene with the dog, but the woman's boyfriend stopped him, and the police were dispatched. Both the man and the mixed-breed dog were taken to the police station for questioning.
August 26, 2026 2. 13 Mainland Chinese Women Arrested in Prostitution Crackdown
On Tuesday, August 25, 13 mainland Chinese women aged between 21 and 45 were arrested during a joint prostitution crackdown operation conducted as "Operation Flintstone" in Wunlong.
The arrests were carried out as a joint operation involving the Wunlong Police Station's Special Task Force and other departments. The women were arrested on suspicion of violating their residency conditions and are currently under investigation.
The police warned that they will continue to intensify crackdowns on illegal activities in the Wunlong area.
3. Travel Agency Store Suspended for 30 Days
The Hong Kong Tourism Board has suspended operations for 30 days at Kaiser Jewellery International Limited, located in Kowloon Bay, in accordance with the Registered Store Management Regulations.
An investigation into an incident that occurred last February revealed that the store failed to prevent tour guides from pressuring mainland Chinese tourists to make purchases. All store managers, supervisors, and field staff must complete mandatory training within one month, and the legislature pointed out that a 30-day business suspension has a stronger sales suppression effect than a typical fine.
