1. 민주당 새 당대표에 김민석 선출
더불어민주당 전당대회 결과, 김민석 의원이 최종 득표율 54.08%를 기록하며 정청래 후보(45.92%)를 제치고 신임 당대표로 선출되었다.
호남과 서울·경기 등 주요 지역 권리당원 투표에서 높은 표를 얻으며 승기를 잡았다. 김 신임 대표는 "당정 일치"와 "안정적 국정 지원"을 최우선 과제로 제시했다. 당내 소통 강화와 더불어 대통령실 및 정부와의 정책 협조 체계를 신속히 구축하는 것이 첫 시험대가 될 전망이다.

경남 남해안 일대에 짧은 시간 동안 거센 기습 집중호우가 쏟아져 대규모 산사태와 도로 침수, 토사 유출 피해가 발생했다.

3. 지방교육재정교부금 54년 만에 개편 추진
1972년 도입 이후 내국세의 일정 비율(약 20.79%)이 자동으로 배정되던 지방교육재정교부금 제도의 연동 구조 개편이 본격화된다. 학령인구는 지속해서 감소하는 반면 교육 교부금은 자동으로 늘어 재정 낭비가 심하다는 지적이 지속되어 왔다.
내국세 자동 연동 방식을 폐지하거나 유연화하고, 대학·평생교육 등 고등교육 재원으로 활용할 수 있도록 교부금 사용처의 칸막이를 없애는 방안이 포함된다.
4. '노란봉투법' 시행 후 노동위 분쟁 급증
개정 노동조합법(노란봉투법) 시행 이후 하청 노동조합이 원청 기업을 상대로 단체교섭을 요구하는 사건이 폭증하고 있다.
